Factory of Terror

The Factory of Terror in Canton, Ohio, is a world-renowned haunted attraction, recognized by Guinness World Records three times as the longest indoor haunted house, stretching over a mile through a massive 160,000-square-foot abandoned aluminum foundry. This sprawling scream park features four distinct haunted attractions, each delivering a unique blend of high-intensity scares, immersive storytelling, and professional production quality. The Forsaken Asylum of Dr. Morbidius plunges guests into a chilling psychiatric ward with twisted doctors, deranged patients, and gruesome scenes like a morgue and spinning vortex tunnel, enhanced by detailed sets and animatronics. Industrial Nightmare showcases the foundry’s industrial roots, incorporating real engine parts into a terrifying journey through dangerous machinery and eerie factory settings, with moving walls and smoke effects heightening the chaos. Massacre on Mahoning immerses visitors in a gory, narrative-driven haunt inspired by a fictional owner, Mr. Winters, who went mad and built a murderous mansion within the factory, featuring blood-soaked rooms and a mind-bending mirror maze. The Abyss concludes the experience with a dark, disorienting descent into a realm of monsters and pirates, highlighted by One-Eyed Jack’s Pirate Bar. Over 130 actors, supported by more than 500 high-tech animatronics and special effects like strobe lights, fog, and dynamic soundscapes, deliver relentless jump scares and interactive performances, with standout characters like clowns and weathered zombies blending seamlessly into the detailed environments. The haunt’s midway, known as the “French Quarter at the Factory,” offers a festive break with themed bars like Carnevil Circus, Poison Ivy’s Greenhouse, and Forsaken Bar on Bourbon, serving specialty drinks amidst a New Orleans-inspired party zone. Additional amenities include the All American Battle Bar with axe throwing, food trucks, live DJs, and The Scream Shop gift store for horror merchandise. Due to its intense scares, physical demands, and uneven terrain, the Factory of Terror is not recommended for children under 12 or those with mobility issues. With its massive scale, intricate sets, and professional execution, the Factory of Terror offers an unforgettable, scream-filled Halloween adventure for thrill-seekers.
